Steinway Gallery Singapore is proud to present the 4th Steinway Youth Piano Competition 2018. Happening on 14th April 2018, the Semi-Final round of the competition will feature 18 out of 45 contestants who have passed the Auditions round.

Prof. Gabriel Kwok
Steinway Artist
Hong Kong
Prof. Gabriel Kwok was born in Hong Kong and studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Guy Jonson and later with Louis Kentner in London. He has been Head of Keyboard Studies at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts since 1989. A Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music in London, he is Visiting Professor at the Shenzhen Arts School, Xian Conservatory of Music, Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Wuhan Conservatory of Music and China Conservatory of Music in China.

Mary Ann Espina
Philippines
Mary Anne is one of the most active and versatile musicians in the country. As a solo performer, she has given a number of solo recitals and has been featured in the Filipino Artists Series at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. She has also been featured soloist of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, the Manila Symphony Orchestra, the FILHARMONIKA, and the University of Santo Tomas Symphony Orchestra.

Loo Bang Hean
Kuala Lumpur
Born in Ipoh, Malaysia, Bang Hean’s teachers in Malaysia include Serena Chow and Rickie Oui. He was the winner of the First National Mozart Piano Competition in 1987, and two years later a scholarship from the music examination board, ABRSM enabled him to study at the Royal College of Music (RCM), London.
As an educator, Mr. Loo Bang Hean lectures at the Institute of Music, UCSI University and has been invited to adjudicate, examine, conduct masterclasses and hold seminars and workshops in various countries.
