Through the 12-hour piano marathon, the organisers will bring together both amateur and professional musicians, with the aim of generating even greater interest and love for music among our community.

Date: 16 Dec 2017

Time: 10am – 10pm

Venue: Level 1 Atrium, ION Orchard

PLAYING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The universal appreciation for music and piano playing is inherent among Singaporeans, with piano lessons and music becoming more accessible to many from young. Nevertheless, there are still many from the community for who music education or even to touch the piano remains a dream.

PLAYING TO BE A FIRST

The event aims to achieve the longest piano performance in Singapore for the Singapore Book Of Records.

PLAYING FOR LIFE

Your generous donation will allow BT BAF to continue providing arts training programmes, arts camps, workshops and performance platforms which the fund has given to more than 15,000 needy children and youth since 2005.

ABOUT BT BAF

The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF), which was launched in 2004 and adopted by The Business Times in 2005, originated from a conviction that no child with a strong interest and potential in the arts should be denied the opportunity to develop his or her talents due to a lack of financial resources. The fund provides young people from ages 6 to 19 from financially disadvantaged families an opportunity to pursue arts training and nurture their artistic talents. Through the support of BTBAF, regular weekend arts programme are held at the four arts training centre – The Little Arts Academy at POMO, 10 Square at Orchard Central, The Little Arts Academy North Campus I & II. BTBAF is managed by The RICE Company Ltd, a registered charity with an IPC status.

OUR OBJECTIVES

This initiative seeks to celebrate Singaporeans’ love of making music through an occasion that allows them to come together at one of the nation’s most popular urban retail mall, ION Orchard while raising funds for the less fortunate at the same time.

Through this initiative, we hope to raise SGD$30,000 – this will allow BT BAF to continue providing arts training programmes, arts camps, workshops and performance platforms which the fund has given to more than 15,000 needy children and youth since 2005. Through nurturing the artistic talents of these children and youth, BT BAF also seeks to build their values, character and self-esteem.
